About Me
Hi my name is Julia Tinker. I am a lifelong resident of Loudoun County and I have been pet sitting informally for the past 25 years. My
animal magnetism and love for animals became apparent at a very young age. Growing up in the country I had a menagerie of
animals ranging from cats and dogs to llamas. I was their caretaker, vet and mommy. I began doing odd pet sitting jobs for friends
and neighbors when I was old enough to ride my bike to the far end of the village where I lived. In middle school, I began volunteering
with the Loudoun 4-H Therapeutic Handicapped Riding Foundation. In 2000, I was Junior Leader of the 4-H "Loudoun Llama
Lovers" Club.
With a lifelong passion for helping people, a love for animals and the desire to own my own business I decided that I would put my
passion for people and my love for animals together and start my own pet sitting business. With much research and thought I began
a professional pet sitting business in 2009. I am anxious to put my animal magnetism to work for you and am ready and able to pet
sit for you and your beloved pets.
I am a member of Pet Sitters International, Northern Virginia Professional Pet Sitters Network, Pet Sitters Association and
Professional United Pet Sitters. In February 2009, I completed the in-depth "Certified Professional Pet Sitter" Certification Program
through Pet Sitters International.
